Toufic Araman unveils his photographic exhibition under the name From Ropes to Acrylic in More Café, Garhoud
Toufic Araman has unveiled his photographic exhibition depicting Dubai from a totally new perspective. The exhibition depicts the modernity of the city, demonstrating its unusual landscape and culture transformation. A trained painter, a home grown photographic talent, he has been living in the U.A.E. for 4 years and this will be his first public photographic exhibition about Dubai.
Araman has used objects like Perspex and Steel Wires as a medium to transform the feel and look of the modern Dubai. For the first time, a special technique was used to print the images on clear Perspex and framed with Steel, two industrial materials used everywhere in modern cities. Only one piece was framed with a camel lace. The images have a different 'edge'. Prepare your eyes to enjoy the vibrant colors and mind for new Dubai discovery.
Andy Warhol was once quoted: "I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They're beautiful. Everybody's plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic." Andy Warhol
